How to Join

BBLJ welcomes UC Berkeley Law students, including first year JD candidates and LLM candidates, who have a passion for business law and want to become involved with exploring cutting-edge business law issues. BBLJ does not have a write-on requirement and reviews applications throughout the academic year.

Why Join BBLJ?
  • You’re curious about transactional practice, complex commercial litigation, white-collar crime, nonprofit governance — or any area connected to the corporate world.
  • You’re not sure what you want to do yet, but want to explore your options.
  • You want to build a strong network on and off campus. (We’re the largest student group at Berkeley Law!)
  • You want to attend great events throughout the year.
  • You want to be part of the best journal on campus.
BBLJ Teams You Can Join
  • Articles – Editing, source collection, cite checking, and formatting.
  • Submissions – Reviewing and evaluating article submissions.
  • The Network – Writing shorter blog pieces on current business law topics.
  • Symposium – Selecting the symposium theme, inviting speakers, and managing logistics.
  • Building Connections – Hosting panels and external-facing events for members and alumni.
